Replace Cavalier PS

Postby wtg on Mon Apr 10, 2006 12:56 pm

Does anyone know where I can buy a 350W PS for my Cavalier CAV-T02? Mine came with a 300W that doesn't provide enough juice now that I've added another harddrive. It's a proprietary size so I can't just buy any old ATX PS.

CoolerMaster has a 350W option and I've been trying 3 months to buy one, unsuccessfully. Most the time they don't return my calls or emails, and the 2 times that they did, they've always say they are out of stock and to call back in a 2-4 weeks. Terribly frustrating. Unfortunately online I've only been able to find the a complete cav case and PS for sale... I can't find anyplace that sells the PS only.

Ugh... I will never buy a case with anything propriety again. 3 months I've had to run with a standard 350W PS sitting in the case, unable to screw it in and without the case top since a standard PS won't fit. I wish I'd have known their customer support was so terrible when I ordered it.

unfortunately i was looking for the ATI version and stumble across this when i had emailed the coolermaster online shod. it goes like:

Hi Shailesh,

No problem it's my job...

Well some of the parts where defective we found that the plastic part isn't
strong enough and that in some occasions with a little bit to much pressure
putt on it it breaks and starts leeking. This was enough to stop the
production for now I know that there are some shops still selling it but
these are the last ones available.

You could check these sites if you want to purchase them anyway;

http://www.sundialmicro.com/Cooler-Mast ... 34_488.htm
l
http://www.directron.com/rlsuccnu1.html

If you Google the item codes you will still find some stores which have
these parts on stock but better be sure if you buy one to check it very
carefully before unpacking it for cracks.

Best regards,

Robby Bottenberg
Coolermaster-Europe B.V.

This is the only place where i actual found and got a reply from coolermaster. I was really supprised on has fast they replied. I was sitting doing my revision, and the msn messenger shows i got a email from the online shop from waiting only 20mins. Sent another messager and again 20 min another reply.

i dont think any european retail store sells them now but 'http://www.sundialmicro.com' still has stock i believe.

Wouter, where do you live?

If you live near me, my local hardware shop can order everything.

I ordered there a black centurion one, that was only available in 2 shops in the NL.
