Made some time free to give a little update.
Still got a lot to do this weekend to be able to update from my main pc :)

I knew i could get it smaller ! :P

Image

First leds are working.
Also some cables ready for under the mainboard tray.

Image

Further on with the pump-tray and got the reservoir hanging again.

Image

Used the same anti vibration rubber under my HDD's and tray as i use for my glass.
I really love this stuff.

Image

Guess cable management will come later, more and more cables every day :)

Image

Also a small uv led stroke for the right side fans.

Image

Now also leds in the pumptops.
I like it more then the regular black ones i had.
This photo is with UV leds in it, but thats WAY too purple.
But somehow i cant show it in photo's

Image

So i tried blue leds after that, and i liked it :)

Next update tomorrow :)

Hey, not sure if you have seen this stuff, but it looks awesome and you can use molex connections to power it.

EL Wire/Tape

Thanks man !
Yeah i've seen it before, i was thinking about plexi beneath my trays with leds behind it.
But maybe this is a good solution too.

Re: Scratch Build : L3p D3sk - FINISHED ! (For now :P )

Postby dusters16 on Sat May 14, 2011 9:20 am

Hey, good job on finally getting it finished! (for now). I know you just got a new mouse, but I would like to recommend the Logitech Performance MX. It will work on your glass/ acrylic with out the mousepad. It will even work on a mirror, pfff nearly everything. Also I noticed to have the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard, why not go ahead and get their wireless illuminated one? My fiance uses it and the MX, as her setup is next to our bed instead of on a desk. The wireless keyboard can be stored vertically and uses the same connector as the mouse to recharge the batteries (micro usb). The batteries do last quite awhile before getting low, here they only get charged maybe once a month, or every other month.

They also use the same receiver, so you only need one and use the unifying software.

Oh my, cannot see the pics in Firefox or Chrome so I suspect hosting. A real bummer at this critical moment. Now that I wanted to comment I can't judge your mod, except for what little I remember from seeing your thread sometime ago. What I did remember was that it is impressive and not very adequate for lan parties, hehe. I thought it would probably weigh easily over 100 kgs. and bolted to the wall makes it a totally integral part of your house or apartment/flat.

Apart from a very cool mod, if there were an additional prize for sheer weight and size, I figure you have that tied up. This is something to remember for sure!

Best of luck on the pics and then the comp.

Cheers and Saludos

Thanks a lot man !

Well its 3mm thick aluminum.
The desk itself with all the plates weights "only" 24 Kg
With the hardware i think it'll be around 40 Kg.
But your right, this one isn't created for lans :)
Though i did think of a special holder for the desk to take it to a lan in 2012.
