That's a real pity Cooler Master refuses to get any real support for MacOS (or Linux).
I don't understand why it is not recognizes as a standard usb storage.

Damn thing for a good product with easy hard disk rack.

X-Craft 350 lite (RX-3SI):no thermal pad and dead power supp

... says that a sata-II seagate disk is supported. Yet by reading messages in this forum I'm not so sure about that. I am planning to use it under XP, Linux, Win98SE, Vista. Thanks for any insight.

I'm afraid the support department has no control over functionality. The device hasn't been advertised as having linux support. Until they do, and add that functionality, there's not much we can do.

Linux support for this device still seems to be completely flaky almost a year later. I was only able to initialise the device and put an NTFS filesystem on the disk by plugging it into Windows Vista. Afterward it worked ...

Linux is not a supported operating system, it hasn't been so far for this product and so far hasn't been advertised as so, moot point. The last Mac OSX version supported is 10.4.7 (for the moment). When an update is ready, ...

... for this product and so far hasn't been advertised as so, moot point. Interesting the box that came with my older model Xcraft's had a label for Linux 2.6x on the CD. However the moral of this thread? Don't waste your money on Cooler Master ["Moot Point"] they just don't care about ...

Same problem Here.... I have Ubuntu and a macbook under Mac os-x, and nothing works.... 35€ wasted, grrrr... :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: ... say to my friend to do so, and I'll scream in all the Mac Os forum and Linux Forum that Cooler Master's Ingeniors are just a bunch of ms-fan-boyz ...

Well, there are a LOT of hardware manufactures that don't say anything about Linux, but their hardware DO work with Linux. It seems that it's happening again, because I did it work here. I just followed what is described in this link: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.usb.general/9959 ...
